Sanskrit is the first language in these places, India

Sanskrit, often referred to as ‘Dev Bhasha’ or the language of Gods, has a rich history in India, stretching back about 3500 years. While its use has declined over time, there are still a few villages in India where Sanskrit is predominantly spoken. Key examples include Mattur in Karnataka, known as India’s ‘Sanskrit village’, where residents lead a Vedic lifestyle and use Sanskrit in daily communication. Other villages include Jhiri in Madhya Pradesh, Hosahalli in Karnataka, Sasana in Odisha, Baghuwar in Madhya Pradesh, Ganoda in Rajasthan, and Mohad, also in Madhya Pradesh. These villages have maintained the use of Sanskrit in various forms, from day-to-day communication to educational systems, ensuring the preservation and continuation of this ancient language
