TIRUPATI: The world renowned Tirupati trust took an historic decision to sell golden mangalasutras on a cost to cost basis to the devotees visiting Tirumala.

Disclosing details of the certain key resolutions passed by the trust board, TTD chairman Bhumana Karunakar Reddy said the Tirupati trust will procure golden mangalasutras weighing 5 grams and 10 grams in about 4-5 designs and will place them at the “Lotus feet” of Lord Venkateswara for the almighty’s blessings and will later sell them on a cost to cost basis without any profit motive to prospective brides set to enter the wedlock.
